Atterberg | Liquid and plastic limits of soils

The test consists of determining the water content corresponding to the liquid limit of a soil according to standard NF P94-051.

The water content is sought for which a groove made in a soil placed in a cup of imposed characteristics closes when the cup and its contents are subjected to repeated shocks.

A complete set is made up of the following elements: Casagrande apparatus with counter strokes, smooth and/or rough cup with fixing lug (depending on sample), grooving tool, 10 mm thick template.

The standard also recommends Petri dishes for the samples, a weighing scale and a drying oven. Contact us for more information.
