Lime reactivity testing for construction

Lime reactivity test

This test makes it possible to measure, according to the reaction time, the increase in temperature caused by the reaction of lime with demineralised water.

The test consists of mixing a quantity of demineralized water and lime in a standardized DEWAR type vase.

The mixture is then stirred at a rotation speed defined by a stirrer equipped with a specific stirrer paddle.

Using a precision thermometer or a digital thermometer, the temperature variations in the vase are measured.
