The performance of binders on the road depends on their rheological properties, especially for Polymer Modified Bitumen. Measuring the cohesion and elasticity of binders makes it possible to assess their resistance to tearing and deformation, whether reversible or irreversible. For this, the European and American standards describe the use of Dynamic Shear Rheometers (DSR) for the characterization of original bitumens, PMB as well as bitumens after RTFOT and PAV aging.
